I've been slowly working my way through this series and I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed Jeremy. I had to laugh at his snobbishness and cold fish demeanor. And it was interesting to have the female behave the way usually men are portrayed with the casual no strings sex. LOL..yes it was just as tacky but I was still laughing at Jeremy's hapless attachment.Very accurate albeit painful depiction of identity crisis with Deena and her discomfort in her own skin. The dark skin = bad vs light skin = good is another sick twisted mindset thanks to decades of rascism where people of color esp. blacks were touted as ugly & undesirable because of skin color. Too many in the black community have absorbed the self hatred. She also had to deal with her insecurity just as a woman defining herself through a man. I would love to read a stand alone novel with just her maturing and succeeding in her own right professionally & personally.
Brians journey is heartbreaking and an important cautionary tale. I try not to give away too many details of a story but yes I teared up & once again fiction has hit home for me & hit hard as a beloved Uncle of mine wound up just like Brian.

It was interesting to see Jeremy and Deidre really learn the meaning of true love. They both had a lot of obstacles and deceit from family members to overcome but eventually they did. I really enjoyed the book and the series.
Loved the story about Jeremy and Deidra. They were set up by his grandfather and her mother. The scenes were written to keep you intrigued and ensured you will not put this book down. Jeremy's grandfather dangled a the company in his face if he married a certain girl and give him q grandchild. It would have gone off nicely if Jeremy had not falling in love with her. Loved this story.
I really enjoyed the book but it keep going when it should have ended . I love the sisters bond.
I loved these books. The characters were intriguing there relationships were just adorable. I loved the romance between Jeremy and Deidre was very compelling. And thanks for the bonus read.
I like how the books tie into each other. Makes for a nice big community of like minded characters. Almost like a developing soap opera! Only, you get to meet a couple of the characters at a time.
This book and the others I have read are Awesome!!
I'm about to start number 8 and I can't wait to see how they meet, and what the other feels about the other, like what draws them to each other.

Jeremy and Deidre definitely have obstacles to overcome. Jeremy's cold demeanor changes when he falls in love with Deidre. Deidre is stubborn opinionated and domineering. Jeremy and Deidre are two peas in a pod. Jeremy falls hard for Deidre, but she doesn't want a relationship. Deidre is hard to take, she is disrespectful and inconsiderate. The ending was good. The characters we're developed really well. Jeremy's grandfather and Deidre's mother should have their own story. This is a good storyline.
